The QualifyMe S106 coordination service started in 2009 on a site in Ickenham in Middlesex operated by CALA Homes. 8 apprentices became fully qualified on this site and QualifyMe is now working in partnership with Hillingdon Council to run projects on all the major commercial and residential sites.
The service provides employment and training for local residents with a major focus on apprenticeships. Local schools can also request careers talks, site visits and work experience opportunities for pupils.
The service is based on current best international practice in apprenticeship development and the senior consultant Dillwyn Rosser, has implemented and managed many successful apprenticeship programmes since 1991. He also leads on apprenticeship development at the Education and Employers Taskforce and sits on the CITB National 14-19 Construction Education Committee.
